Add hosting plans and products

Customers can buy a product once it has a price and is shown On the storefront.

Only the account owner can change the catalogue. Other staff can see it.

  1. Go to Catalogue. You start on the Products tab.
  2. Choose Add a product. Taji asks What are you selling?
  3. Choose Hosting, VPS, Email, SSL certificate or Add-on, then Continue. You cannot change the kind later, because it decides how the product is delivered.
  4. Under Details, fill in the Name customers see, the Group and the One-line description.
  5. Choose the Type: Recurring, One-time, Free or Trial.
  6. Under Prices, type a price for each Billing cycle you want to offer. A cycle with no price is not offered.
  7. Under How it is delivered, choose the Supplier module, then Place new accounts on and the Package on the server. Choose No automation if a person sets it up.
  8. Choose Add the product.

When a customer pays, Taji creates the account, emails the details, and suspends or removes it under your lifecycle rules.

Domains are not added here. Set their prices on the Domain pricing tab. See Set domain prices and import a registrar.

If you have a hosting connection or ResellersPanel, Taji can read the supplier’s plans for you.

  1. Choose Add a product, then From your supplier, then the supplier.
  2. Tick the plans to sell. Set the Markup on everything you tick. It starts at 25%, over the supplier’s cost.
  3. Choose which cycles to Offer and the group under Put them in.
  4. Choose Add 2 products (the button counts what you ticked).

They are added hidden, so you can check them before customers see them.

Type What it does
Recurring Renews every billing cycle, with a renewal invoice and reminders
One-time Never renews. No renewal invoice and no reminders.
Free Never invoiced. Set a Limit per customer. It stays off the storefront until this is set.
Trial Free for the Trial length in days. Choose what it becomes under When the trial ends, it becomes, and what happens If the customer has not paid at the end

The Tax rule comes from Settings › Tax rules, by country and product kind. If Prices I type include VAT is on, customers always see the VAT-included amount.

If you sell in more than one currency, each cycle shows a price for each one. See Choose the currencies you sell in.

A product linked to a supplier’s plan shows Cost and margin: the supplier’s cost, your price and your margin for each cycle. A row is marked Below cost, or below the floor with the floor percentage shown. See The price floor and suggested prices.

To set every price from one figure, choose Set prices from a markup. Type the Markup over cost, choose Show new prices, then confirm.

New prices apply to new orders and to each customer’s next renewal invoice. Invoices already sent do not change.

Choose Open add-ons and options on a plan.

  • An add-on is something a customer pays for with this plan, like daily backups. Choose Add an add-on.
  • An option is a choice that does not change the price, like a PHP version. Choose Add an option.

Nothing is saved until you press Save changes.
