Promotions and sale prices
Customers get a discount once you create a coupon they type in the cart, or set a sale price that shows on its own.
The Owner and Sales can create and change coupons. Other roles can see them.
Create a coupon
Section titled “Create a coupon”- Go to Catalogue › Promotions and choose New coupon.
- Type the Code: letters and numbers, no spaces.
- Under Discount, choose Percent or Amount in RWF, then type the Value.
- Under Applies to, choose All yearly hosting plans, One product, Domains, Everything, These domain endings or A supplier’s products.
- Set Total uses and Per customer. Leave either empty for no limit.
- Choose the Ends on date.
- Turn on First order only if existing customers cannot use it. Turn on Also on renewals to discount renewal invoices too. When it is off, the discount is for the first invoice only.
- Turn on Show on the site to show the code on your shop and on your website while it can be used. Customers still type it at checkout.
- Check In the customer’s cart, then choose Create coupon.
A coupon never takes a domain below what it costs you. If it would, the discount is capped and the cart says so.
Change or end a coupon
Section titled “Change or end a coupon”Open the coupon’s menu and choose Change it or End it now….
Once a coupon has been used, only the limits and the end date can change. To change the discount, end it and create another. When you end it, no new order can use it. Orders that already used it keep their discount.
What coupons have done · this year shows the Orders that used a coupon and the Discount given. It also shows how many of those customers are still active.
Put a product on sale
Section titled “Put a product on sale”- Open the product from Catalogue › Products.
- Choose Set a sale price.
- Choose the Billing cycle, type the sale price, then set Starts on and Ends on.
- Check Sale price in your other currencies if you sell in more than one.
- Choose Save sale.
A sale on a monthly plan is for the first month only. A sale on a yearly plan is for the first year only. On other cycles it is [FIRST TERM ONLY].
The sale price must be lower than today’s price. Once a sale is running, its price cannot change: choose End sale early and start a new one.
Put a domain ending on sale
Section titled “Put a domain ending on sale”On Domain pricing, open the ending’s menu and choose Sale price. Set the price, Starts on and Ends on, then Save sale. Choose End sale early to stop it.
A supplier’s own promotion
Section titled “A supplier’s own promotion”If your supplier lowers its cost for a while, record it so Taji checks your prices against the lower cost on those days.
- On a product: choose Add promotion cost under This supplier’s promotion.
- On a domain ending: choose Supplier promotion cost from its menu.
Outside those days, the normal cost counts.
